Steven Hunt

Steve worked in HUD’s Office of Housing from 2001 to 2011 in Atlanta, Washington, DC, and Kansas City.  During his 10+ year tenure at the agency, he led underwriting teams in analyzing over $1.5 billion worth of construction and refinance loan applications to determine program eligibility and risk to HUD. He assisted in developing program policy and procedures to streamline the application process and reduce risk to the HUD portfolio. 

Over the past ~15 years, Steve has originated over a billion dollars in FHA loans. His experience and excellent relationships with HUD enable him to anticipate and address potential issues that may come up during the HUD underwriting process to ensure expedited loan application processing and a smooth loan closing.   He is a graduate of Emory University and Rollins School of Public Health at Emory.  Steve lives in Prairie Village, KS, with his wife and two daughters.
