James Hillhouse

James is a seasoned commercial real estate professional with over 15 years of experience. Instrumental in more than $1 billion in loan originations, he specializes in FHA-insured financing for multifamily, senior housing, and healthcare properties. He has provided both construction and permanent placements for affordable and market-rate projects. He has experience in numerous complex transactions involving environmental issues, multiple layers of financing, soft debt, Section 8 contracts, and tax credit equity.

With a B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University and an M.S. in Real Estate Development and Construction Management from the University of Denver, James brings both financial acumen and operational insight to every transaction. His client-first approach, combined with deep industry knowledge, has earned him a reputation for strategic thinking, exceptional service, and seamless execution.
