Cary Weinstein

As the Chief Underwriter, Cary is responsible for the supervision of the company’s underwriting department for Multifamily and Healthcare loans through HUD’s Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) and Traditional Application Processing (TAP) programs under Section 221(d)4, 232, 242 and 223(f) of the National Housing Act. Cary has been a HUD MAP Underwriter since 2000 and has underwritten and financed over $2B in HUD-insured debt. The majority of Cary’s experience has been with affordable housing transactions employing 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credits and 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits/tax exempt bonds and HUD Insured Debt. Prior to joining Gershman Investment Corp., Cary was the Chief Underwriter for Red Stone Agency Lending and PNC Bank NA.
